Key Mechanics Notes

Posture (Stamina)

Posture is shared between sprinting and blocking. Blocking hits drains it; sprinting drains it. Empty Posture = guardbreak when you try to block. You can still parry at zero Posture — parries don't use Posture at all. See the full breakdown in the Combat Guide.

Block vs. Parry

Holding F blocks but costs Posture. Tapping F right before a hit lands is a parry — no damage, no Posture cost, and the attacker gets stunned. At low Posture, switch from holding block to reading attacks and parrying instead.

Shift Lock (Ctrl)

Shift lock is strongly recommended for PvP. Without it, your character faces the camera direction, which can be unpredictable in tight spaces. With shift lock, your character always faces the direction you're moving, giving you consistent control over your hitbox positioning.

Mobile & Controller

Gakuran runs on mobile (Roblox app) with on-screen touch buttons that mirror the PC keybinds. Controller support uses Roblox's default gamepad mapping. Official keybind documentation from the developer covers PC only — mobile and controller layouts are community-reported and may change with updates.
