Gakuran Kure Fighting Style Guide

Kure is the newest fighting style in Gakuran, added in the July 11, 2026 map update (v7.400) alongside the MAPUPDATE code. It's a Legendary-tier style, sharing its 1% reroll bracket with Capoeira and Wrestling — the rarest roll tier in the game.

What Kind of Style Is Kure?

Kure is built around close-range grappling and heavy, punishing strikes rather than flashy combo chains. Its M1 string uses heavy, defense-breaking hits that deal 5% damage per hit and build pressure quickly, while its M2 is a headbutt or ground slam for a massive 13% damage that leaves the target disoriented. It rewards players who commit to close-range exchanges instead of poking from range.

Kure's Confirmed Perks

• Last Stand — gives +15% total damage once you're at 25% HP or below
• Takedown — M2 is a headbutt grab dealing 1.5x damage
• Concussive — a landed M2 slam removes the victim's ability to parry for 2 seconds
• Guard Pierce II — deals 15% block chip damage against blocking opponents
• Resilience I — gives a chance to clash into a grapple

Last Stand is the standout perk: because it activates below 25% HP, Kure gets more dangerous the closer it is to losing, which pairs well with its heavy M2 damage and the guaranteed follow-up window Concussive creates by locking out the opponent's parry for 2 seconds after a landed slam.

Kure's PvP Tier — It's Actually Contested

Unlike most of Gakuran's other styles, there isn't a settled community consensus on where Kure ranks yet. Some tier-list trackers have already placed it in S-tier, calling its M2 pressure "meta right now." Others have deliberately left it off their rankings entirely, treating it as too new for a fair placement and calling for more PvP footage before judging it. Our own tier list keeps Kure unranked for the same reason — early reception is strongly positive, but it hasn't been in the game long enough for a stable verdict.

How to Get Kure

Like every fighting style, Kure can only be obtained through the random Reroll system — open the Stats menu in-game, select Reroll, and pay 5 Robux per attempt. There is no way to target Kure specifically; it shares its 1% roll bracket with Capoeira and Wrestling, so most rerolls will land on a different style. If you're specifically hunting for a Legendary-tier style, budget for a large number of rerolls.

Kure vs. Capoeira and Wrestling

All three Legendary styles share the same 1% roll rate but play very differently. Capoeira is mobility-focused with a shortened dash cooldown, Wrestling is a pure grappler built around its takedown grab, and Kure sits in between — a heavy grappler with burst damage that scales as your health drops.
