Gakuran Striker Fighting Style Guide

Striker is a fighting style added in Gakuran's August 2026 v8.009 update, alongside the new karaoke bar and Dante's Yakiniku additions. It's an Epic-tier style with a 10% roll rate, the same rarity bracket as Boxing and Hakari.

What Kind of Style Is Striker?

Striker is built entirely around unpredictable pacing rather than raw damage. Its M1 chain doesn't hit at a fixed rhythm — each punch in the string winds up faster than the one before it, accelerating from 0.35 seconds down to 0.12 seconds, so the combo never lands on the same beat twice. That makes Striker hard to parry on read alone; you have to track the acceleration, not just the animation.

Striker's Confirmed Perks

  • Broken Rhythm — accelerates each hit in the M1 chain from 0.35s to 0.12s
  • Feint — the style's crit fakes a hit at 0.15s and lands the real one at 0.45s
  • Guard Pierce III — deals 20% block chip damage against blocking opponents
  • Resilience II — gives a 25% chance to clash into a grapple

Feint is the perk that defines Striker's identity: because the fake hit lands well before the real one, opponents who dodge or block on the first cue eat the delayed real hit clean. Pairing that with Broken Rhythm's constantly-shifting M1 speed means Striker punishes players who rely on fixed-timing parries more than any other confirmed style.

Striker's PvP Tier — Too New to Call

Striker only entered the game with the August 2026 v8.009 update, so there isn't enough competitive footage yet for a settled community consensus. Early player reaction has focused on how disruptive Feint is against instinct-blockers, but whether that translates into a top-tier PvP result once players adapt is still an open question. Our tier list keeps Striker unranked for the same reason Kure was left unranked at launch — it needs more time in the meta before a fair placement is possible.

How to Get Striker

Like every fighting style, Striker can only be obtained through the random Reroll system — open the Stats menu in-game, select Reroll, and pay 5 Robux per attempt. There is no way to target Striker specifically. At a 10% roll rate it's one of the more attainable non-Common styles, so it doesn't take as many rerolls as a Legendary or secret-tier style would.

Striker vs. Boxing and Hakari

All three Epic-tier styles share the same 10% roll rate but play very differently. Boxing is a close-range punch-chain style built around iFrames on its M2, Hakari is a setup-and-finisher style with a 3x damage window, and Striker is the only one of the three built around variable timing rather than raw pressure or payoff. See the full Fighting Styles guide for how all twelve confirmed styles compare.
