Gakuran Ali Fighting Style Guide
Ali is the rarest confirmed fighting style in Gakuran, added in an early-August 2026 update. It sits in its own secret tier above Legendary, with a roll rate of just 0.075% — several times rarer than any Legendary-tier style at 1%.
What Kind of Style Is Ali?
Ali is a footwork-and-counter boxing style modeled on Muhammad Ali's fighting philosophy — win by moving cleanly, defending perfectly, and punishing whiffs instead of trading heavy hits. Its M1 throws very fast punches, and its M2 spawns afterimages of your character as you move, making your real position hard to read for an opponent trying to time a punish.
Ali's Confirmed Perks
- Float Like a Butterfly — the style's Shuffle dodge gets invincibility frames for the entire windup
- Sting Like a Bee — successfully dodging an attack automatically fires a counter-shuffle at the attacker
- Counterstrike — gives +5% damage on your next attack after a perfect block
- Guard Pierce III — deals 20% block chip damage against blocking opponents
- Resilience II — gives a 25% chance to clash into a grapple
Float Like a Butterfly and Sting Like a Bee work together as Ali's core loop: because dodging is both safe (iFrames through the whole windup) and rewarded (an automatic counter on a successful dodge), Ali is built to win fights through defense-into-punish rather than initiating pressure directly.
Ali's PvP Tier — Not Enough Data Yet
Ali's 0.075% roll rate means very few players have it, so there isn't enough competitive PvP footage for any community tier list to place it with confidence yet. Early community reaction on gameplay clips has focused on how disorienting the M2 afterimage effect is in open-world brawls, but that's impression, not a verified ranking. Our tier list leaves Ali unranked for the same reason.
How to Get Ali
Like every fighting style, Ali can only be obtained through the random Reroll system — open the Stats menu in-game, select Reroll, and pay 5 Robux per attempt. There is no quest, purchase, or other shortcut to Ali; at 0.075% it is purely a matter of stockpiling rerolls and grinding the odds. A Short build is generally recommended to pair with it, since Ali's kit rewards speed and mobility over raw power.
Ali vs. Kure, Capoeira, and Wrestling
Ali is rarer than every Legendary-tier style, including Kure, Capoeira, and Wrestling, which all share a 1% roll bracket. Where those three lean into heavy grappling or burst damage, Ali is the only confirmed style built purely around evasive counterplay. See the full Fighting Styles guide for how all twelve confirmed styles compare.
